No verified named statewide write-in roster as of October 1

Kansas requires a write-in candidate for Governor and Lieutenant Governor, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, or another statewide state office to file the statutory affidavit with the Secretary of State by noon on the fourth Monday before the election. For this election, that deadline is October 5, 2026. The deadline had not passed when this guide was checked, and no official named statewide write-in roster was publicly verified. Zero names here does not mean no write-in can qualify or no write-in vote can be cast.

Coverage boundary: This page covers candidate contests decided by all Kansas voters. The governor and lieutenant governor names are shown together and each ticket counts as one printed choice. U.S. House, Legislature, State Board of Education, district, county, township, municipal, school, and local contests are excluded. Primary losers are excluded. Kris van Meteren and David Miller are excluded because the June 12 Objections Board sustained the invalidity of their organization labels, and neither appears in the September 17 general-election notice. No withdrawn, removed, invalid, or unaccepted record is restored by inference. The constitutional amendment and seven statewide appellate retention questions appear in the voting section rather than the candidate-contest count. Candidate order shown here is not a claim about every local ballot style. Read the full coverage boundary.
